eons

AHHH it's been a long time since i did some proper blogging. i usually don't have this much time on weekends but this one is a long weekend so i might as well try to keep this site alive. haha.

outfield training recently was basically a dream. it felt like it didn't happen. the only indicators reminding me that i actually went for outfield training are the heat rash (screw freaking heat rash) and the 37 mosquito bites on my left hand. it is a horrible sight and that's not an exaggeration. even the medical officer couldn't believe what he saw. think of left 4 dead zombies, and you're probably close. nonetheless, outfield was a 36 hour non stop mission, in which i had to carry the 15kg machine gun WITH my SAR21 and run through wet mud to escape from "enemies" that overran the MG bunker, as well as defending checkpoints from commanders who drove by in land rovers and pitched thunderflashes at us. without a doubt, i reached the "too-shacked-cannot-think" point. but at least i'm free from outfield from now on. relief!

after a one month break, it was back to nightlife again. this time, i decided to try powerhouse at st. james. it was one of the worst clubbing experiences i'd ever had. i went with shannon to queue up at 10.30pm because there was free entry before 11, but the queue lasted till 11pm exact. the bouncer didn't even want to give the free entry to us so we just paid anyway. by then we had swallowed quite a bit of chivas already so we didn't even bother to collect any drinks. we headed straight for the dancefloor and that was where everything started going downhill. number 1-the people there were above our age group, i'd say average in the 25 year-old region. number 2-the music was freaking dated. 90's hiphop or RnB was no longer cracking, so it was simply shit. number 3-the dancefloor was so bloody pitiful, it became a scene of sardine clubbing. there was simply no space to move around. on top of that, every 5 seconds, a group of people had to push their way through no matter where we stood. with my dance constantly being interrupted and my patience tested more than 50 times, i decided that we should just leave. so here i am, back home early, flaming the place that cost me 20 dollars for a negative externality. whatever it is, i'm not going back there ever, free entry or not. i shall stick to rebel because it is the best place on earth. haha.

sometimes, being experimental does not pay off. i'll keep that it mind when it comes to things like these. perhaps i should have stayed home to learn a few more songs. i have abandoned my guitar for too long. or i could have saved the money and put it into my fund for a new headphone amp. lol!

goodnight.
