is that all there is?

results.

is it eveything?

or is there more?

do we work just to get nothing but results?

do just results define success?

success is not universal. its meaning varies through different individuals. what others may think of success in their terms is not necessarily the same for someone else. in fact, most of the time it is NOT. but why can't this be understood?

and the issue of survival. are we put on earth just to do nothing but survive? i hardly agree. i doubt our motive here is to do nothing but work our heads off to accomplish nothing but to get enough money to 'live another day'. if it follows the same routine, what makes you think that our lives have a purpose? i don't think that our purpose is to just see our future 'kids' grow up so we can leave this world in peace. sure, many people say that, but i'm not strongly for that belief. it it part of life, it is something we will be happy about (after all it definitely is happy to see that you have a nice family and a nice house and a nice car and lots of money to spare) but it is not everything. no one can give you everything other than God.

"with man nothing is possible, but with God EVERYTHING is possible". --Matthew 19:26.

i refuse to listen to anyone telling me religion is all crap, it's not something you can believe, etc, etc. i already have a strong belief that God exists and He is here to love me, care for me, guide me, inspire me, console me and keep me on track. and my belief will never change. and don't try to preach stuff to me if you hardly have any exposure at all. don't tell me i haven't read the entire bible so therefore what i say is unreliable, etc, etc. cos it doesn't take the entire reading of the bible just to understand those few words that really mean something. sure, it is definitely best to read the whole book and understand it, but not doing so does NOT mean that i am not worthy of being a Christian at all.

so don't try to force words into my head to tell me what my purpose in life is cos i already know it. and nothing can change what you tell me cos i'm already on track. sure, if i slip and fall a few times, a word or two of encouragement would help, i will even thank you for it, but don't try to change my purpose. and no, i cannot work under pressure. the results are not nice, so don;t try that on me as well. and i need moral support, cos that is the thing that usually makes me reach heights i have never imagined reaching. i'm more appreciative of those who support me rather than those who always tell me i'm wrong. and most importantly, those who accept me for who i am. keep that in mind.

and if you think i wrote this just to ease the 'trouble' i'm getting from you, or just so that i won't be getting a scolding, you're wrong. you can still do what you want to me despite what i said, but i wrote this cos i feel that it is about time i speak out. and it's not due to the events that are going on around me. i don't blame you, you know what you are doing, and i accept you for who you are. we may have contrasting views, but at the end of the day i do not tell you that you have to adopt my ways and methods in your own life, right? hey, whatever works for you, that's good. but i know what works for me, so please, just let me adopt my own styles of learning. after all, i guess it's all about self-discovery at this period of time. you can tell me what you think is wrong and what is right, but will you let me decide?

....if only you understood, _______ & _______.
