okay, so this year's houses were split into the four seasons, in other languages. they were essentially:
FORAR (Spring)
KYUUKA (Summer)
AKI (Autumn)
INVIERNO (Winter but how ironical cos it sounds like 'inferno')
well our house, Forar, was supposed to be the 'hip-hop' one, so we entered with bling-bling, money (fake OBVIOUSLY), headbands and stuff, while the equally-mad facils looked like they just came out of 8 Mile, except they were all dressed in green. i DID actually expect our house to win, but we didn't, so we broke the non-stop 2-year consecutive winning of the 'green' house. but nonetheless, it was fun guys, and we did put up our best. we deserve appreciation.
i still can remember the considerably-retarded cheer though, it goes by the lyrics of Tokyo Drift. (don't start laughing okay. it sounded really good when 200 people did it. and we're HIP-HOP. for heaven's sake.)
FORAR REMIX
I wonder if you know
How we rule in CJ, yo!
If you've seen it then you mean it
Then you really wanna go
C'mon Forar!
RAH! RAH! RAH!
C'mon Forar!
RAH! RAH! RAH!
C'MON FORAR!!
there. you have it.
right after the skits was the ever-anticipated mass dance. the music turned up loud and bassy for ONE LAST TIME, never to be done so again for the next year. we were all psyched up. and going crazy. ready to shake it.
the moment the extension doors went sideways i ran out from the Forar house members, straight to the back. amidst the chaos i still managed to catch yvonne and we moved to the front. well, we already discussed long ago that we would partner each other for the final dance, and we did it well. since it was the front, there were fewer people so we had lots of space to move about. i TRIED to give it my all (i can't remember how i looked like but still i did it MUCH MORE ENTHUSIASTICALLY) and thouroughly enjoyed myself. how often will you actually get to find a partner who knows all the moves than some regular noob who would probably forget her steps halfway? i never regretted. in fact, i really had fun. and i sweat the crap out of myself.
after the second dance (i could hear my heart beating in my ear already), we left the auditorium, supposedly to get our asses home. since it was already kinda late (like past nine?) i decided to wait for the facils to finish up their jobs so i could go eat "dinner" with yvonne. we left at 9.40pm and by then the bus stops had already cleared.
well, i won't go into details, but i can say that the rest of the night was wonderful. and memorable.
.....just like signal flares being launched into the sky.
