fight for your life.

war.

the three-lettered word, very easily spoken of, but very often used in a context where its intended meaning and intensity are very much degraded. the word that speaks of losses, but yet talks about gains. the word that (i'd presume) majority of populations dislike, while some other individuals find likeable.

i have to agree that war does bring people closer, to really expose their characters, personalities, actions and reactions. usually, it arises from the nature of the scenario itself, putting people in tight situations and seeing how they brush themselves clean of it. i just happened to think about war, where the greatest of strangers become the greatest of friends, and so do the greatest enemies.

it's been ages since we had a proper war, speaking in literal terms. obviously many people would actually think i am crazy to desire a war, but how i see it is that war brings people closer (closer than almost anything else) and those who are remembered are really those who let themselves shine through a great deal of difficulty. these are the people who deserve the greatest form of respect.

everyone dies for a reason. no death is unaccounted for ; no death is blank, empty, or "just another death". we are all equal in God's eyes, and no one can possibly degrade themselves to a point where they do not even matter.

so, well, my point is:imagine we had a war right here, right now at this instant. within a split second of the sounds and images of war settling into your head, it is amazing at suddenly how much you'd care for those around you, and how much your loved ones care for you. your mind is transformed, in the snap of a finger.

all of a sudden, you feel that life is just too short to waste away. you would embrace those around you. they never mattered more than now. anything could happen the next moment, and sometimes you wish you had the chance to even hear a few more words from the person you never thought you'd speak to again. if you were given a chance to fight, you'd take the lives of those who want to take yours and your loved ones'.

changing lives, making people stronger and so much more.

that is the power of war.
