ignition

just yesterday, we attended the THIRD and final CIP briefing before the actual day's event. we did a complete run-through of the activities planned, what has happening where and at what time. apparently past meeting had been sort of dry and boring, but we happened to have an entertainer this time. well, it's not surprising, it always HAS to be evadne. LOL.

i still remember quite clearly on how she kept ranting about pirates of the caribbean (apparently one of our games is called that) and how orlando bloom was going to marry her in the end or sth, straying like a FEW HUNDRED LINKS away from the topic. almost every sentence we had to stop her and tell her to get her mind back. also, there was this statement that she made about having some hula-hoop game in the field.

EVADNE: "huh? the field? but the field a bit grassy leh."

okay evadne that was of absolutely no help at all. HAHAHAHA.

so we started test-running our games and there was this one where i had to be blindfolded and directed to escape from someone else. it was completely rubbish because mister HOW decided to lead me right into some storeroom and lock the door. trust me to be some guinea pig. stupid how. LOL.

audrey's low-cost attempt at looking like a sushi chef

after the meeting we decided to head off to town for dinner. the trip there made me conclude that all TIBS bus drivers are crazy or their machines are rollercoasters. either way, i like it.

well, you see, we were on 960 and audrey was ranting about some rose being given to her during literature film night when the bus took a sharp turn on the highway. standing in the rear carriage of the articulated transit, i believe the G-forces were stronger. without warning, audrey started leaning backwards and eventually lost her balance. in her 'fall', despite being held down by lauren and evadne, audrey's quick reaction saw her grip onto my shoulder and sliding on the bus floor. but the best thing was that i wasn't holding onto any support either, so we all went down. on the 190 bus ride, evadne wasn't exactly lucky enough to get a seat like in the 960 so she slid all the way down the standing booth right into some stranger guy. apparently he looked kinda stunned. no, evadne, you have to control yourself. HAHAHAHA.

so off to heeren's vil'age we went, a very smart idea of one of the girls' (i had only $6.80 in my pocket). kian how decided that he would lend me a buck so i could eat the ham & cheese crepe thingy, while he finished up the bag of ruffles we brought for the meeting. we both decided to go budget since we were both kinda broke and the crepe didn't really fill my tummy so we both wiped out a whole bag of chips and went to the super-clean washroom to drink water from the tap. (yes, the TAP.)

when we returned, the three girls (lauren, evadne & audrey) were fighting over their food which they had supposedly decided to share. no, it was not a case of who got the tastier portion or who got more of the food, but quite the contrary. they were battling to take the SMALLER portion. i shall do this literature-style. haha.

[in a restaurant, at a table.]

(enter Evadne, Lauren & Audrey.)

Evadne:[takes fork]I shall cut this up into three parts. [she cuts up a waffle.]

Audrey:[stabs her fork furiously into the smallest piece] i will take THIS.

Evadne: [stabs fork in the next, smallest piece] okay this is MINE.

[Lauren eyes the largest piece of waffle sitting on the plate for about half a second.]

Lauren: i'm not going to eat that.

Evadne: [waves fork] NooOoO you EAT!

[Lauren stares at the waffle again, hesitates, and unwillingly eats it.]

Evadne & Audrey: haha.

This scene surprisingly repeats itself for the case of a slice of mango and a teaspoon of ice-cream. interesting. LOL.
