went for lunch with sherilyn at fish & co today. turned out the bill wasn't as much as i'd thought. cost me about $36, while my usually paranoid self brought like $60. hmmm. the portion almost killed me and i almost couldn't walk after that. and i got freakin banned from buying a cocktail cos i'm underage. ratssss!!! c'mon a cocktail is like 6 bucks?
but anyway the atmosphere was quite nice, considering it was the Glasshouse. we managed to haul our asses out of there and made our way to esplanade library before the rain raged and poured seconds after. i brought nothing but math TYS and a really really thin stack of blank lined paper. after all, i was armed to attack mathematical induction for the rest of the day. the esplanade library was not a bad place to study, i could really concentrate on what i was doing. in one and a half hours i completed about 9 induction questions, and i'll personally consider that an achievement cos i didn't know what the hell induction was a week ago. nonetheless, i got 7 out of 9 proven right and i was overjoyed. i mean, people will think those who get happy at math are retarded, but call me what you want cos today i got high by doing math sums! yes you heard it right! Math gets me high! :) i was literally rushing through the questions, each one taking up about 3/4 of a page. i was so engrossed i suddenly felt that math was really fun. and it was kinda easy too.
a pity my 'high' only lasted for the 2 hours, for she had to leave to meet her friend at 5(4)pm. xD but still it was a great experience at math. and it is not everyday where someone like her gets to even go out for a study session, so i guess i'm rather thankful. looking forward to more. :)

slogging hard at biology :DD
after it all i decided that i'd go to wheelock to get my cell sort of repaired. i'm really quite pissed this time cos it's the third time i'm going back to nokia to have it fixed. all for different problems. the first time the software kept hanging, the second the vibration screwed up, and this time it was just the tiny little green light on my phone cover that didn't light up but still i complained. i mean, a cell is a cell, it has to be working. and knowing my warranty ends on the 27th this month, i'm so going to go back on the 26th to have EVERY SINGLE FAULT with my phone replaced. i even had the intentions of changing the voulme and camera shutter buttons (the paint has come off) so i got 20 bucks ready, considering such plastics won't cost me more than $5 a piece. other than that it would be crazy, insane and atrocious. but i gave them chance, alright, $7 bucks for a piece of plastic not any larger than my fingernail. and what happened next was that they told me the buttons were part of the entire outer casing itself so the casing would cost me 80 FRIGGIN' bucks. immediately i almost wanted to echo a YEEEAN NA ("WHAT?!?!" in Tamil) through the whole nokia store, but i restrained myself. nope, the staff wasn't Indian. i just felt like it.
and the next best part was that, although i arrived at 5.30pm and the store closes at 8pm, they told me i'll only be able to collect it on Wednesday. a second YEAN NA was brewing. so i kindly, repeat, kindly, refused their offer and decided to go tomorrow. and i will.
many of you might be asking why the fuck i would go so far for a little green light. well, it's surprisingly common (maybe only for me) to love my phones to dust. every phone i ever had. but this one is the one i love the most. it has seen me through the most significant times of my 17 years on earth. it has taken over 600 photos since i bought it in january, and i especially remember the times when i brought it for orientation, considering i was the only idiot going around with my phone and never willing to let go of it, i took many candid pictures that in my opinion are so good they can probably be published in the annual. i take photos of people not knowing i'm trying to do so, hence i get the most natural expressions and actions. good photos are rarely posed ones. i strongly, stongly believe in that. unfortunately the camera is only of VGA (640X480) quality, so it'll be quite un-detailed. on the other hand, i get to store countless photos when they're small in size. i get easier access to my 'mobile photo album', as i call it. photos i don't delete. i doubt i'll be able to squeeze that amount of photos into my tiny 512MB card if they were megapixels. but i'll put in a software for megapixel shots in case i wanna print them.
one day, i'll want to look back at how time flies and how i was when i was 17. so as a result, i pledge never to trade-in or sell the phone i have. if i do get another one i'll keep this in a safe, though. so this explains why i'm going to get the light repaired. i won't want to be showing a half-faulty phone to my family/friends next time. i'll get everything in perfect working order. like for example if your girlfriend has a cold you'll bring her to the doctor, right? the same thing here. i wouldn't say my phone would be more important than my girlfriend next time, but for now i just love it to bits. i even have double backups of my photos in both my computer's hard-disk and my hard-disk music player. after all, if i lose them, all is lost. i can't imagine living without my phone. who gives a shit even if it's VGA? you can say what you want, say i'm not keeping up with tech, the screen colours are pathetic, there are countless scratches, the paint is peeling, i won't give a fuck. for this phone is not just a phone to me, it is an exhibit and showcase of my life. and i'm willing to share it with everyone. just ask me. but other than that, I LOVE MY NOKIA 6260!!!
watch out, nokia. here i come. i'll make sure i drill all of you staff till i get the parts. and quickly fixed.
and on top of all, thank you God for today. and my life of me and my phone. Hallelujah!
